I have been with Fedora for quite some year.. until I bump onto Ubuntu for the first time on 2005.
that time been received free CD for Ubuntu live.. and I happened to depend on it when the hardisk crashed
and got no money to replace.. first 3month starting work at KL.. hahaha.. 8-)
somehow it need sudo for a lot of administrative thing.. [back to to that time lah..] i think now is quite improved and friendly already..
But as per someone else pointed out here [lowyat.net]..
33.33 minute been wasting to type sudo each time..
then I just want to laugh out loud.. as per this ..
p/s : been using it in a file containing this “/usr/bin/sudo su -” and set /etc/sudoers without passwd for myself..
so can become root by typing short command ..such as “root” ..
yet another proof of my laziness for typing password..haha.
.. provided you’re the only one using the machine.

In this post I will explain on how to Install windows XP on Xen virtualization engine in CentOS 5.
In comparison to VMware based virtualization .. this one might be a bit behind in term of functionality and user-friendliness.
Prior to the installation process.. make sure you had the Windows XP Installation CD handy or
copy it into the system itself in iso format..with these command.
Read through the feature list before starting..
assume you CD-Drive is /dev/hda and the destination as /data/iso/
dd if=/dev/hda of=/data/iso/XP3_3282_V2_EN.iso
then only start ..
First of all have to make sure ,you’ve got the xen kernel already installed.
if not having yet. better off start with
yum groupinstall "Virtualization"
then all the virtualization package will be installed..
to verify
yum install qemu
yum install qemu
it shall install the emulator that need to run windows O/S
after all packages has been install.. you can start the virtual machine manager
using commad
virt-manager
or using shortcut at Application -> System Tools -> Virtual Machine Manager
this page dedicated to those who are waiting for SPM 2008 result..
I just want to share that.. not all offer letter that may have arrived prior to this date is from public institution / university / college..
no matter how it was been made to be look-alike from public / government sponsored scheme ..
the reality is if the offer letter were arriving to your post box prior to result announcement date.. is highly to be a SCAM or merely private college / institution sending out MASS-invitation to all last year SPM candidate ..
Do not rush to sign up just because it was pretending to be an offer from public university or anything.. (unless you are quite sure the result wouldn’t be that good at all.. and have to resort to private college / university) but that one also worth waiting for the thing to settled down first.. at least until the result is out..
the IT programmed with the fee of about RM 1500-2000 is just a completely complimentary course.. unless you’re having a lot of extra money.. I suggest avoid it at whatever mean.. it just merely a certificate
printed by that particular institution without any big ‘value’ as it claimed to have… whenever to get a job soon..
for the one who are pursue directly to job/ work environment..
i suggest you to think again.. been 18years old..
next 30 years.. you’re also no matter how.. will be in the job / work environment.. but without the current strength and agility .. you are mostly not able to pursue any further proper education if you did’nt start to pursue the education / degree / master ..at this moment..
p/s : matriculation or foundation of foreign course (3+0) would be interesting part to look out..and judge also..
I never knew that ‘Restoran Jejantas’ can be reach from either of the way… be it from or toward Sg Buloh..
until last night.. I felt tempted after seeing someone put a status of being there few days ago.. hehe.. 8-)..
from Jalan Duta toll toward Sg Buloh.. there is an exit to ‘Restoran Jejantas’ ~ 2km before the Sg Buloh toll.
“Exit to the left..” then just walk can reach the other side.. the way they design the cross-over made you never realized you are actually on top of
the highway .. it just look like another normal walk thru.. hehehe.. not like having long-step of stairs to reach the bridge ..
walk through it.. until reach the other side of the ‘Jejantas’
hardly notice it was a stair actually..
there were some Gaza poster at the wall also ..
hahaha.. i never knew that my k530i actually can adjust the level of light exposure .. (left-right to adjust)
here it is .. the meal.. hahaha
not going to post many of this..
and the price tag..
is not that expensive after all.. hehehe.. nice once..
p/s : no need to head straight to kajang if tempted to taste satay kajang next time..
I have been introduced to twitter[twitter.com] during foss.my meeting late last year.
but I was kinda lost at the moment as not really an active member ..
If you ever used mIRC (Internet Relay Chat).. this one might be handy.
as it is like being in the channel all the time.. and you will be getting message everything other user in the room say something..
and there is character limit in the message.. is 140 chars..
so.. it would rather call it as IRC with a new name .. *sigh*
not that suitable for message with the need of very detailed ..
but enough to buzz around about what you are doing at the moment..
and fairly enough to keep track of what being done all this while.
I wonder if can create something like the private channel..
so that company/project activity updates wouldn’t accessible to anonymous at all..
anyway this blog twitter is now available at namrannet
not going to promise any update though..except the one from this blog feed.
p/s : might be a good thing to track every single status I had ever put on my msn.. hotmail..gmail.. yahoo.. ( 50years later ? ).. oHh shit..may be NO!!!
Something caught my attention this morning ..regarding the yesterday event..
RapidKL being cut off of electricity .. flooding at the very center of KL..
One headline from local newspaper.. here[thestar.com.my]..
It was put as “Thousands caught unawares as 2m-high flash floods hit KL”..
One question struck in my mind was .. “is there enough effort are being made to let them (Thousands) aware about the danger in the first place ?”
Well , i would say the reason is because most of the local news paper / mainstream media having feeding a lot of rubbish to the reader in these few days..
some of us would already had put a ban in effect onto mainstream media.. Hence if telling the alert via the tv3, tv1, tv2..
and yet expect all of us ( KL citizen ) to be aware ?
Well.. in case of emergency like this , i would prefer the CellBroadcast or SMS / MMS by the telco itself to play the best part of alerting the whole bunch of people… as I believe most of working citizen @KL would have carried one with them whenever they go within KL area..
dissemination of emergency alert like this would the best reason to use whatever the best infrastructure might be available at whatever cost..
I believe.. this would be a lot more useful and worth of having technical difficulties to get it done.. the price after all..is the people properties / wealth if not the life itself..
Telco company , I believe many of us is having receive a lot of SMS with something like this
“RM0 / FreeSMS: A concert/charity dinner to be held at Desa Sri Hartamas. bring your colleague and friend together and get a discount of 10% when you swipe with your credit card…” and many more gigs’ or whatever dance/nightlife/event invitation..
and some were directly from the telco company itself.. mine was sometime receiving ads SMS from maxis itself.. regarding whatever ringtones and services that were available.. I believe others telco would also had the same capabilities..
And … out of top most intelligent people up there.. I still couldn’t believe that nobody have ever thought about this..
perhaps it just not worth commercial value at all to implement.. but the irony fact is..
I still believe it is completely worth the hassle to overcome whatever technical/understanding difficulties whenever the objectives is to
“take care of the people life..” or in short..”to save even one life in an emergency situation like this..”
Like what the infamous film had quote “with great power..come the great responsibilities “.. perhaps.. no one dare / having enough gut to push forward..
Well.. most of the news writer/editor might be so full of politics and celebrities centered news updates..
(they tend to write whatever the reader want to read most…even though it was after all just a complete rubbish without any value at all upon the last day of the one lifetime..) .. and yes. some were so busy with the “Rat race” .. looking toward what being called “C”..
or in short .. “Who cares ?”
alternative question : how many of twitter channel were being flooded with the flood warning yesterday ?
alternative question 2 : how many IMs message have been sent to each user in KL regarding the flood at 4-6p.m ?
Is it because this event would not giving much adsense value ? Oh..please….
I was still @ office when fire & rescue team from Desa Sri Hartamas were dispatched..
the one buzz around after the event might be completely out of scope to be debated.. so here I stop my rantings.
p/s : Where is the one who said about “Smart tunnel” effectiveness of preventing flash flood last year ?
